Dad who watched son being 'eaten alive' by 'meat

Vladimir's father, Yury, told local media: "We went to the beach to relax. My son was attacked by a shark. It all happened in seconds.

"This meat grinder happened in 20 seconds…it is just some kind of evil fate."

Initial reports of the incident suggested Vladimir had been with his girlfriend at the time, but local media said she was currently in Russia.

The pair were understood to be staying at Egypt's Hurghada, but the reason for their stay is not known. One theory is that they were allegedly in the country to avoid being called up to fight in Ukraine.

The rumoured "lovechild" of Russian defence minister chief Sergei Shoigu has been revealed to be an aspiring popstar who was lazily taking it easy on the beach while his father started to mobilise young Russians. The existence of Danila Shebunov, better known as Sheba in the music industry, has been brought to light by supporters of jailed opposition leader Alexei Navalny.

According to reports, Vladimir was heard screaming "Papa, papa" as the shark hunted and then mauled him.

Witnesses added that after the shark attacked Vladimir, that it toyed with his body for an agonising two hours.

Eyewitnesses said that some shouted: "Swim away, swim away! Quick! A shark!"

One eyewitness added: "The shark appeared, and immediately bit the man. He tried to swim away from the shark, but he couldn't. It dragged the body for two hours. It constantly dragged him under the water."

Following the attack, locals took their revenge on the animal, hauled it out of the sea, dumped it on the beach and beat it.

A video from the scene shows a man smashing it over the head with what appeared to be a stick or metal pole.

Egyptian authorities said they caught the shark that attacked and killed Vladimir.

Investigators are now trying to find out whether the shark has been responsible for any other attacks in the region.

The latest deadly shark attack in the region comes after Russian tourists were told to be vigilant in the popular resort and follow the instructions of hotel staff.

The incident comes just under a year after another tourist was mauled to death by a shark in Sahl Hasheesh, Egypt.

The Russian Foreign Ministry has confirmed the death of a citizen from a shark attack.
